High North Dialogue

05 April 2017 00:00 - 06 April 2017 00:00

Nord University (Bodø) / Scandic Havet

High North Center for Business and Governance at the Nord University Business School invites you to participate in the High North Dialogue 2017.

The yearly High North Dialogue conference gathers experts and stakeholders from a range of sectors, and has a strong focus on business development and job creation in the High North. One aspect that participants highlight as especially useful, is the fact that the conference provides a platform to interact with young Russian academics and professionals with an interest in the Arctic. The conference coincides with weeklong Master and PhD courses that gather around 100 graduate students from Norway, Russia, Ukraine and other countries. The strong youth component and the presence of future Russian decision makers continues to draw participants from Canada, the US, China, Russia and Europe to the High North Dialogue in Bodø.

The theme of this year’s conference is Innovations in the Arctic.

We will explore topics such as innovation and entrepreneurship in the Arctic, High North scenarios, and the regional dimension of business development. You will hear from business leaders and entrepreneurs who have shown how the enormous business potential in the Arctic can be harvested. For the second year in a row, we will give out the High North Hero Award to a person or organization that has contributed to highlighting the importance of the High North.

The conference program is available here: http://www.highnorthdialogue.no/

The first day of the conference will take place at Nord University (Bodø), while the second day takes place at Scandic Havet in downtown Bodø.
