The student can appeal grades for written examinations (including school examinations, take-home examinations, portfolio assessments and various theses). The deadline for students to appeal is three weeks after the grade has been announced in Studentweb / after the explanation is published.
The assessment of oral performance and practical courses or the like, which, by their nature, cannot be reviewed, may not be appealed.
The examination answer is forwarded to the Appeals Committee, which consists of two new examiners, at least one of which is external. Information on the procedure will be given by e-mail. The deadline for grading the appeal is normally two weeks.
If the new grade differs by two or more grade levels from the original grade, a further assessment shall be made before the final grade is assigned. The new grade is final and cannot be appealed, cf. Section 5-3 (7) of the Act relating to universities and university colleges.
