The faculty's research is related to the teaching profession, the arts and humanities. 
Themes include flexible learning, the teacher as a bearer of culture, special needs education, didactics of mathematics and mathematics education, and literacy.

About the faculty

The Faculty of Education and Arts was formally established on January 1 2017 after restructuring at Nord University.
The faculty has about 3346 students at four study locations: Vesterålen, Bodø, Nesna and Levanger.
