    Package description:

    This semester package is designed for exchange students who want to learn more about Norway. The programme consists of three courses of 10 ECTS each, at introductory level, and provides an overview of Northern Norway's history, Norway's most vital political institutions and their function regarding the principles of a welfarestate.

    Package description:

    This semester package offers a wide introduction to Norwegian history from the medieval to the modern period and is recommended for history students who want to use their semester at Nord University to expand their knowledge about the history of their host country. It is also recommended to students who study sociology, cultural studies, political science, or literature, as there will be many theoretical overlaps that can be interesting for students from these disciplines as well. We also recommend the package to students from MINT disciplines to widen their intellectual horizon while staying at Nord University during an exchange semester. The course instructions and readings will all be in English.

    A package that focuses on social and urban development using the Scandinavian model. Courses focus on introducing students to important readings on how we build and engage with society, how we protect indigenous and local culture while sharing it safely and responsibly with the world, and how we measure and map social space using GIS. These courses can help prepare students for a career in civil service, urban and sustainable resource management, or spatial research.
