Research:
My primary research interests are in the area of empirical corporate finance, specializing in family firms and their governance using unique micro-level data on Norwegian limited-liability firms, their owners and employees.
Current working papers look at:
- The compensation of family firm employees and examine the pay gap between family and non-family employees.
- The reasons for the underperformance of family successions.
- The self-selection of family members into working for their family's firm.
