About me

I am working at Faculty of Biosciences and Aquaculture, Nord University as a researcher in the area of genomics and bioinformatics.  I have completed my Ph.D. degree in 2014, from Indian Veterinary Research Institute India and H.N.B. Garhwal Central University, Garhwal, India. The title of thesis was “Development and Validation of DNA Microarray chip for Diagnosis of Viruses Prevalent in India".

In 2013, I have received a PBC fellowship for outstanding postdoctoral researchers from China and India and moved to Tel Aviv University, Israel. My postdoctoral research focused on transcriptomic and metabolomic responses of Arabidopsis Thaliana to environmental stress. I have also obtained visiting researcher fellowships from the Ministry of Agriculture of Israel (2017) and ICGEB, Trieste, Italy (2018) in the area of system biology.

2017-2020 (Assistant professor for Bachelor's and Master course on Data Mining, Bioinformatics, Ecology and Genetics at the University of Information Science and Technology St.Paul, Ohrid Macedonia)

Supervised bachelor and Co-supervised master students

Patrick Kim Sade (bachelor) – Automated algorithm for detecting and tracking active particles

Seema Singh (Master) – Classification of Leukemia related proteins using support vector machine

My research interest is to understand the genomic basis of stress responses and metabolomic changes at the cellular and organismal level. To do so, I employ transcriptomics and network analysis. I am also working on structural aspects of proteomics utilizing both molecular and computational approaches.
