International seminar: Transformative capabilities of the accounting profession: the future of small and medium-sized accounting and auditing practices
Nord University Business School is pleased to invite you to participate in the international seminar in Bodø, marking the conclusion of the Transformative Capabilities of the Accounting Profession (TRANSACT) research project, funded by the Research Council of Norway

December 12th and 13th (lunch-to-lunch)

The world is facing turbulent times, making it necessary for accounting and auditing
practices (SMPs) to rethink the nature of their operations and business models. The
IFAC 2018 Global SMP Survey Report indicated that a significant number of small and
medium accounting and auditing practices experience challenges in accommodating
transformations in digital technologies, service offerings, talent recruitment, and
regulatory changes. SMPs are also generally hesitant to adopt new innovations, and
greater proactivity from SMPs is needed.

Participation is free of charge
Registration is required
Limited to 50 onsite participants

Seminar goals:

  • address the transformative capabilities of SMPs;
  • discuss what needs to be done to make practices more proactive and resilient;
  • feature presentations and sessions that will discuss the most significant findings from the TRANSACT project.
