December 12th and 13th (lunch-to-lunch)
The world is facing turbulent times, making it necessary for accounting and auditing
practices (SMPs) to rethink the nature of their operations and business models. The
IFAC 2018 Global SMP Survey Report indicated that a significant number of small and
medium accounting and auditing practices experience challenges in accommodating
transformations in digital technologies, service offerings, talent recruitment, and
regulatory changes. SMPs are also generally hesitant to adopt new innovations, and
greater proactivity from SMPs is needed.
