NOW 2026: Artificial Intelligence and Interdisciplinary Innovation.

Building on the success of NEW 2025, Nord Open Week 2026 brings together all five faculties at Nord University (Biosciences & Aquaculture; Education & Arts; Nursing & Health Sciences; Social Sciences; and Business School) for a week‑long exploration of Artificial Intelligence – a topic that cuts across disciplines and professions AI is transforming how we teach, research, create, and communicate, making it a natural continuation of last year’s focus on storytelling. While 2025 explored human narrative (storytelling), NOW 2026 examines how intelligent technologies shape learning, creativity, health, and society.

Program Vision

  • Five Faculties – One Theme: Uniting expertise from social sciences, health, and education/arts through lectures, panels, and creative workshops.
  • Applied Perspectives: Exploring the ethical, educational, social, and creative dimensions of AI.
  • Collaboration & Impact: Linking research, teaching, and industry insights to develop new interdisciplinary approaches to technology in human contexts.

Strategic Relevance

NOW 2026 directly supports Nord University’s Strategy 2030, advancing:

  • Education: Strengthening digital competence and research-based teaching.
  • Research & Innovation: Encouraging interdisciplinary projects and collaboration.
  • Internationalization: Expanding partnerships and global participation.
  • Inclusion & Sustainability: Promoting diversity and ethical reflection in technological development.
