More about the topics

Data privacy in research

Assessing data protection and data security measures is a key step in making data FAIR. Research results are often based on collection, processing and analysis of data containing details that allow re-identification of individuals. To ensure that the research process and the eventual publication of results do not lead to a breach of data privacy, it is essential to learn about the key principles of protecting data containing personal and other kinds of sensitive information in order to document them effectively in a data management plan and communicate the same effectively with the relevant stakeholders throughout the project cycle.
