Compendium

Compendium content must be placed in a separate section in the reading list, called "compendium.

It is mainly book chapters that should be placed in the compendium. Here, you must register page numbers, not just chapter numbers.

According to copyright/license agreements, it is not permitted to upload PDFs of book chapters in Canvas.

Please note that compendia cannot be changed after they have been sent for printing. If you want to make additions after the compendium has been produced, a new compendium must be created. Create a new section and call it "Compendium 2", then add new articles/chapters there. Contact the library so that the new compendium can be ordered.

The library checks the metadata in the compendium and sends it for printing. Articles and books that are electronically available (in our databases or via open access) are generally removed from the compendium and placed in the section for Required Reading.

The printing office is responsible for rights clearance and ordering of the compendium. Compendiums must be rights cleared by the printing office every semester the course is offered.

Printed and digital compendiums will be available for purchase through Akademika's online bookstore after the reading list is published. Digital compendiums cannot be printed.

OBS!

The production and use of compendiums are regulated according to the agreement between UHR and Kopinor.

From books: Up to 15% of the total number of pages. If the excerpt is larger than this, rights clearance must be sought. This involves an additional charge on the price of the compendium for the students.

From scientific journals: One article per journal issue.
