Nord University encourages our Master's students to publish their theses in the university's open institutional repository, Nord Open​.

Nord Open​ is Nord University's open institutional repository. Here you will find academic and scientific publications by our employees and students, freely available in full-text. Theses published in Nord Open are searchable in Oria, Google and NORA.

Why publish in an Open Institutional repository?

    • Your thesis will be searchable in Oria, Google, and NORA, the national search engine for scientific publications in open institutional repositories
    • ​You help other students
    • You become a part of the academic community 

How to publish in Nord Open

    • First you must assess if the privacy protection ​has been taken care of sufficiently so that the ​thesis can be published. You can find information here​ about privacy protection in writing assignments.
    • When submitting your thesis in Inspera, say 'Yes' to electronic publication in Nord Open
    • You must also sign an agreement to give your consent to publication in accordance with Norwegian regulations on copyright
    • The thesis will be published nine weeks after the grading deadline
