About the thesis
Some anglerfish species exhibit a unique reproductive behavior in which two individuals of the same species fuse, yet they exhibit no immune rejection which suggest a specialized immune system. In this project we wanted to produce a high-quality draft genome assembly of a local anglerfish Lophius piscatorius to investigate its immune system features and to lay a foundation for future anglerfish research.
