The following will continue to apply to most students:
No on-site classes for the remainder of the semester
No changes to planned examinations
No changes to plans for those students who are currently on practice placements
University buildings closed to most students.
As previously, all events, conferences and on-site sessions in the session-based study programmes planned to occur on or before July 1 are cancelled.
The University Library's branches are closed, but the library staff continue to respond to orders and are working to make more resources available online. More information about library services is available on nord.no/en.
What's new:
The university can now grant access to students who are not in their final year, but for whom access to university buildings is decisive for study progression or completion of education. It is a prerequisite that infection control measures are maintained.
The university can facilitate completion of practice for students who have until now been unable to carry out/complete practice placements. The individual faculty must have determined that the practice arrangements are viable.
The faculties will now commence a full review of study programmes to identify students to whom these changes apply. Affected students will be contacted as soon as possible.
These changes are additional to those announced on April 27.
Going forward:
The Norwegian Government aims to ensure that the opening of the new academic year in autumn will see all students return to campus.
Nord University is planning in accordance with this goal. At the same time, we must ensure that we uphold applicable infection control measures.
New, comprehensive information about commencement of the new academic year will be published on nord.no/en toward the start of the autumn semester. We encourage all students to stay up to date on our information page about Coronavirus.
