The Norwegian Government has announced changes to national Coronavirus measures. The changes that affect Nord University will come into effect on April 27 2020. Read more about the changes and how they will affect Nord.


Nord's buildings are closed

Nord University has extended the closure of its campuses until May 1 2020. Students will not have access to university buildings during this period and staff will be working from home. 

  • Students will not be able to access university buildings.
  • Teaching staff will be working from home.
  • Online classes will run as planned.
  • On-site classes for session-based programmes are cancelled until May 1, 2020.
  • Professional practice will not run to schedule for some programmes (your faculty will provide more information relating to specific study programmes).
  • Arrangements for extraordinary online classes will be made where possible (your faculty will provide more information relating to specific study programmes).
  • Students can access e-resources online via the university library. Read more about how the library can help students access study resources and guidance on their website.

  • Updated March 24: The Board of Nord University has adopted temporary regulations concerning studies and examinations, to ensure best possible educational progression for students. 

Library, course literature and e-resources

The Library is closed for orders, collection and interlibrary services.

All due loans may be retained until the Library is operating normally. Students may disregard any reminders that are sent automatically during this time.

The student counselling services at Studentinord aim to be easily accessible for students. You can still contact counselling services by e-mail, phone and Skype.
