Online teaching in January

Most of campus and session based study programmes will be online until January 28.  Some classes may be delivered on campus. Check Canvas for updates about what applies to you.

Online classes are directed at restricting widespread contact between individuals and preventing the spread of coronavirus.

Online teaching is the main rule

Until January 28 most classes will be online only. This applies for all study programmes at Nord University.

Nord University is conducting an assessment of the educational portfolio to determine which courses will be delivered on campus. The University must consider a range of factors, such as the type of learning activity, the need for special equipment, learning outcomes and educational progression.

Check Canvas for updates

The University requests that all students stay up to date on Canvas, regarding what applies to each course and study programme.

Campuses are open

Nord University's campuses are open. All students must follow the national and local rules and guidelines for infection control.

  • Stay at home if you are sick.
  • Keep a distance to others, preferably one metre when possible.
  • Face masks are recommended in situations where it is not possible to keep a sufficient distance to others.
  • In the case of on-campus delivery of classes, the University requires that strict infection prevention measures are maintained, in accordance with current guidelines.

Staff will be working from home

All staff members who can work from home are encouraged to do so. Staff who are unsure about whether they should work from home, are asked to contact their work supervisor.
