Nord University is now in the process of reopening university buildings. In order to ensure good infection prevention and control, the university will be reopened in stages.

The Norwegian Government announced on June 12 that universities have the option to re-open, on the condition that general rules for infection prevention and control are upheld.

Plan for reopening:

  • The University Library will open as soon as necessary infection prevention and control measures have been implemented.
  • Classrooms/seminar rooms will be closed until the beginning of the autumn semester (with the exception of summer courses and other, pre-approved activities).
  • Gym/training rooms will be closed until further notice.

Staff and students who are on campus are required to follow the Guidelines for Infection Prevention and Control at Nord University, as well as any rules that apply to specific locations. All staff and students are also required to complete Infection Prevention and Control Training prior to using university buildings.

When you are on campus, remember:

  • Maintain good hand hygiene and cough etiquette.
  • Hold a distance of at least 1 meter to others.
  • Avoid physical contact with others, including handshakes and hugs.
  • If you experience symptoms of respiratory illness, stay at home for at least 24 hours after the symptoms have passed.
  • If you experience symptoms of Covid-19, seek medical assistance and testing.
