Nord University a Member in World Education Research Association Network – It is an honor for Nord to be involved in this network, says Professor Heidi Harju-Luukkainen who leads the collaboration at Nord University. May 2019 kl. 11:00 Main bodyInternational Research Network (IRN) project Feature Analysis Approaches in International Assessments was recently proven by World Education Research Association (WERA). The network is led by Director, Professor Eva Baker (UCLA, USA) and Co-Directed by Associate Director Kilchan Choi (UCLA, USA). The collaboration at Nord university is led by Professor Heidi Harju-Luukkainen. Other network members come from Korea, China, Chile, Mexico, Finland, Germany and USA. IRNs are collaborative groups of scholars working on a specific research topic. IRNs synthesize knowledge, examine the state of research and stimulate collaborations or otherwise identify promising directions in research areas of worldwide significance. Feature Analysis Approaches in International Assessments-network will during its three year project time report the use of common qualitative measures on country-specific, large-scale tests in mathematics, language, arts and PISA assessments with the help of feature analysis. Therefore it is an honor for Nord to be involved in this network. – The goal for the project group is to influence assessment design and to detect mediating patterns in large-scale assessments.
