Monday night in Bodø, the Governing week of the European university alliance SEA-EU kicked off at an in official event in the evening.
And what an evening. After food and drink host Tove Holm at Nord University asked the participants to play bingo to get know each other a little better.
Laura Howard from Cadiz University took the task with great seriousness.
“I had a clear strategy. I started with the people I knew and went on to the others. I have a good competitive instinct, she says.”
Nord University joined the alliance a year ago and is this week hosting the Governing week, which takes place every sixth month in the alliance.
Rector Hanne Solheim Hansen says that as all other family gatherings, she has been looking forward to this week for a long time. In her welcoming letter to the participants, she says that “we are honoured to host this week, which brings together management, students, administration, faculty, and experts from our various disciplines and universities. Such collaborative efforts are central in addressing our current and upcoming work, and for fostering innovation and advancing knowledge. Your participation not only enriches the intellectual discourse but also strengthens the bonds within our alliance.”
European University Alliances represent a flagship initiative within the European strategy for universities. The primary aim is to establish alliances between Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) across Europe, thereby enhancing the international competitiveness of HEIs.
