Study location Steinkjer and Innocamp can be found in the middle of the city, in close proximity to everything you need.

Steinkjer has around 600 students. The campus can be found in the heart of the city, just a short walk from the train station and shopping centre.

    The annual Steinkjer Festival in June is the biggest attraction, with stages and artists around every corner of the city. In our cultural pub Vårt hjem, you can experience a warm atmosphere and good entertainment all year round.

    The city has a brand new and modern cultural centre with a cinema, library, and restaurant. Steinkjer also has one of Trøndelag's largest shopping centres.

    Steinkjer also has many hiking and nature experiences to offer. You can enjoy a panoramic view over the entire city at Oftenåsen from the world's largest garden chair, or take a day trip to the geographical centre of Norway.

  • From Trondheim Airport Værnes, you can take the train to Steinkjer station. The journey takes approximately 90 minutes.

    You may also arrive from Oslo via Trondheim S (central station), where you have to change trains. View train times and fares at VY.no.

    Buy tickets from the machine on the platform (cheapest), the VY app, or on board the train. Remember to bring your student card to get a student discount.
