Examination registration and withdrawal/cancellation

Registration

All students must each semester log on to StudentWeb to

  • pay the semester fee
  • register for the semester
  • approve their education plan 
  • register for or withdraw from examinations and teaching 

Registration autumn semester: 1 July - 1 September
Registration spring semester: 1 December - 1 February​

The deadlines for registering for a semester and registering for teaching and examinations can be found in the academic calendar (normally 1 September for the autumn semester and 1 February for the spring semester).

You will also find information on the place and date for the examination, withdrawal deadlines, and any opportunities to choose the examination location, etc., in StudentWeb​.

Withdrawal/cancellation

According to the Regulations relating to Studies and Examinations at Nord University section 7​, you may withdraw from examinations no later than two weeks before the examination date. You may withdraw from submitting a master's thesis up to the deadline for submission. 

When you withdraw before the deadline, your registration will not count as an examination attempt. You may be entitled to a new exam, see Regulations section 7. ​

How to withdraw from an examination: 
Log in to Studentweb, find the course and the correct examination under Active courses, and choose Withdraw.​​
