The study model can be reviewed in a systematic way to ensure that learning design reflects society's needs, as well as the subject's purpose and form of evaluation. Positive results will be continued as a permanent offer at the University, and experiences made available through academic networks, such as UArctic. Statistics from Eurostat show that Norway has a high proportion of the population in rural parts of the country compared with the average in Europe. Increasing urbanization and globalization place special demands on how research and higher education are organized to meet the needs of the labor market. In today's labor market, much is about the meaning and quality of work.​​
