Abstract:

The project's main goal is to create competitiveness and growth for the business partners through increased organisational flexibility in the switching between new, green growth segments and traditional product areas.

The applicant company and project owner is Kværner AS. Kværner delivers oil and gas platforms and onshore processing plants for operators and other customers.

The most important R&D challenges that the research aims to solve include:

1) Design of dynamic and flexible organisational structures, which handle great variation in project types, market segments and duration.

2) Development of a system for competence development, both at the individual level and collectively, which takes advantage of new opportunities created by the ongoing digitisation programme and industry 4.0 technology.

3) Efficient and scalable management and logistics, across interfaces between subjects and project phases.

4) Structures for a development- and innovation-oriented party collaboration, as development in working life challenges the current established Norwegian model.
