Background and research interest

I have a Master degree with specialization in fish pathology and biotechnology from College of Fisheries, Mangalore (India), where I worked on developing a monoclonal antibody based flow through assay for detection of Vibrio spp.

My craving to learn more brought me to Norway in 2014, where I obtained another master degree in Aquaculture with a focus on skin mucosal immunity of fish, at Nord University, Norway.

In 2015, I started my PhD degree at Nord University. My thesis was focused on "Characterization of immune and stress factors in skin of lumpfish, Cyclopterus lumpus". I successfully defended my doctoral thesis on 19th April 2018.

Currently, I am working at Nord University as a researcher under "Behold talent scholarship programme". During this period I am working on the gathered data and results from my PhD, to publish the outcomes and make it available to the scientific community.

My research interests are mucosal immunity of fish, teleost innate immunity, stress physiology, immunology, comparative proteomics and transcriptomics.
