Submission deadlines for bachelor's and master's theses

There will not be re-sit examinations for bachelor's and master's theses in addition to the regular deadlines. There are no individual deadlines or postponements. If you need extended study admission, you must apply for this to postmottak@nord.no.

The following submission deadlines apply for bachelor's and master's theses:

  • Bachelor's theses
    There are two time periods for submission of bachelor's theses:

    • ​15 to 25 November (registration deadline 1 September)
    • 15 to 25 May (registration deadline 1 February)

    Master's theses
    There are three time periods for submission of master's theses for scientific master's degrees: 

    • ​1 September (registration deadline 1 August)
    • 15 to 30 November (registration deadline 1 September)
    • 15 to 30 May (registration deadline 1 February)

    There are two time periods for submission of master's theses for experience-based master's degrees:

    • ​15 to 30 November (registration deadline 1 September)
    • 15 to 30 May (registration deadline 1 February​)
  • Bachelor's theses
    There are two submission deadlines for bachelor's theses: 

    • ​15 November (registration deadline 1 September)
    • 25 May (registration deadline 1 February)

    Master's theses
    There are four submission deadlines for master's theses: 

    • ​1 September (registration deadline 10 August)
    • 15 November (registration deadline 1 September)
    • 1 February (registration deadline 5 January)
    • 15 May (registration deadline 1 February)

    If the submission deadline falls on a public holiday or weekend, the deadline will be moved to the next working day.

  • Bachelor's theses
    There are two submission deadlines for bachelor's theses: 

    • ​20 November (registration deadline 1 September)
    • 20 May (registration deadline 1 February)

    Master's theses
    There are two submission deadlines for master's theses:

    • ​15 November (registration deadline 1 September)
    • 15 May (registration deadline 1 February)

    It is up to each study programme to decide whether to have two or four submission deadlines for master's theses. Some study programmes therefore have four submission deadlines. 

    If the submission deadline falls on a public holiday or weekend, ​the deadline will be moved to the next working day.

  • Bachelor's theses
    There are two submission deadlines for bachelor's theses: 

    • ​25 November (registration deadline 1 September)
    • 25 May (registration deadline 1 February)

    Master's theses
    There are four submission deadlines for master's theses: 

    • ​1 September (registration deadline 10 August)
    • 15 November (registration deadline 1 September)
    • 1 February (registration deadline 5 January)
    • 15 May (registration deaedline 1 February)

    If the submission deadline falls on a public holiday or weekend, ​the deadline will be moved to the next working day.

  • Bachelor's theses
    There are two submission deadlines for bachelor's theses: 

    • ​Autumn semester (registration deadline 1 September)
    • Spring semester (registration deadline 1 February)

    Because these deadlines apply for programmes of professional study that include practical training, the submission deadlines will be adapted to the courses in the last semester of the course of study.

    Master's theses
    There are two submission deadlines for master's theses:

    • ​15 November (registration deadline 1 September)
    • 15 May (registration deadline 1 February)
