Åland University of Applied Sciences

Åland University of Applied Sciences is a small university with approximately 600 students and 90 employees. The campus is located in the cosy city of Mariehamn. Mariehamn is the capital of Åland and has a population of approximately 11 000 people. Åland is an archipelago located in the Baltic Sea between Sweden and Finland. While it is a part of Finland, they also speak Swedish.

    Number of student places

    Number of available Nordplus places are determined from one academic year to another.

  • Admission requirements

    Students must have completed one year of university level studies to become an exchange student, equivalent to 60 ECTS. Students must also have a satisfactory study progression and fulfil the academic requirements at the host university.

    Language requirements

    English B2 is recommended by the institution. Students who speak either Norwegian, Danish or Swedish are not met with specific language requirements in placement options.
