University of the Basque Country

University of the Basque Country, located in northern Spain, has 45 000 students and 5000 staff members spread across three campuses in the region. Bilbao, the biggest city in the Basque Country, stretches along the river of Nervión, 11 km inland from the Gulf of Biscay. It is the financial capital of the region and has around 370 000 inhabitants.

    A full workload is 30 ECTS per semester.

  • Tuition fee

    No tuition fee for Erasmus+ students.

    Number of student places

    10 students per academic year (places are shared between faculties).

  • Admission requirements

    Students must have completed one year of university level studies, equivalent to 60 ECTS. Note that some academic programs may have additional admission requirements and course prerequisites. A valid passport is also required at application stage.

    Language requirements

    English CEFR B2 or Spanish CEFR B2 is required by the institution.
