University of Lapland

University of Lapland is the northernmost university in the European Union and is located in the city of Rovaniemi, Finland. The university was established in 1979 and is a public university funded by the government. Around 4,000 undergraduate students and 500 doctoral students study at the university.

    The autumn semester is 1 August to 31 December, spring semester 1 January to 31 July

  • Housing

    Students arrange housing through a student housing organization called Domus Arctica (DAS). Students stay in apartments that are located near the university or city center. Apartments are typically shared with 2-3 other people.
