Université Paris Sorbonne

Université Paris Sorbonne (Sorbonne University) has 12 campuses spread across the city of Paris. There are approximately 55 000 students and 6400 academic researchers at Sorbonne. The university is structured by three faculties, in the fields of arts and humanities, science and engineering, and medicine.

  • Admission requirements

    Student must have completed one year of university level studies, equivalent to 60 ECTS, to become an exchange student. Note that some academic programs may have additional admission requirements and course prerequisites.

    Language requirements

    English CEFR B2 and French CEFR B2 is recommended by the institution. Most of the courses at Sorbonne University are held in French. It is therefore strongly recommended that you consolidate your French language skills before your stay at Sorbonne University.

  • Exchange students from non-EU/EEA countries must apply for a visa/study permit before entering the country of destination. Generally, students must be able to satisfy the financial documentation in order to be issued visa. For more information, go to: Visa - France

    All exchange students must have valid health insurance, regardless of their nationalities. Students may be expected to purchase health care insurance for the duration of their stay, in addition to the insurance the students have from their home countries. EU/EEA students must bring their EHIC card. Non-EU/EEA students need to show that they have valid health insurance that covers their whole stay.
