Admission requirements
Students must have completed one year of university level studies, equivalent to 60 ECTS.
Language requirements
UNAK recommends minimum English CEFR B2. The University Centre of the Westfjords requires English skills at level C1.
Exchange students with non-EU/EEA/Swiss nationalities must have valid student visa prior to entering Iceland.

University of Akureyri
The University of Akureyri (UNAK), founded in 1987, is a small and personal university with 2500 students. UNAK emphasis on Arctic issues and offering flexible learning environment (distance learning) in all fields. Akureyri has around 19 000 inhabitants and is the capital city of North Iceland.
