Haydom Institute of Health Sciences (HIHS) is an NGO which belongs to Evangelical Lutheran Church of Tanzania (ELCT) Mbulu Diocese which is located 80 km from Babati town, a head quarter of Manyara region. The Institution has undergone several evolutionary trends of growth to its existing status today. The institution receives ample number of applicants from national and global scene with diverse cultural, social-economical and future professional visions; and we treat them with an integral diversification manner.

  • Tuition fee

    Each participant from Norway must pay a fee at a chosen rate to cover tuition and full boarding. Increased rate will be announced in due time. The fee is to be paid in advance to Haydom School of Nursing.
     
    Students must also pay their study visa to Tanzania and have enough money to cover their living costs while living in Tanzania.

  • Admission requirements

    Students must have completed one year of university level studies, equivalent to 60 ECTS.

    Language requirements

    English B2 is recommended

  • Norwegian students must apply for and pay for student temporary permit/visa to Tanzanian Immigration authorities upon arrival. Haydom Institute will help students in getting a temporary work permit. There are costs involved, which must be paid to Haydom Institute on arrival.     Admitted students will be informed about cultural and institutional policies prior to arrival in Haydom. Students must respect the local institution code of conduct and organizational policies. These will be communicated in an arrival document, which students are advised to read.
