Apply for student housing

Apply early

Apply by May 20 to ensure that:
  • your application is successful
  • you have received confirmation prior to the deadline for a study permit application (May 31), if required.

  • StudentiNord requires one month's deposit to secure your rental contract.
  • Degree-seeking students may cancel their contract up until July 24 without financial consequence.

Arriving from outside the EU/EEA?

  • If you are arriving from outside the EU/EEA, you must document sufficient funds for your stay in Norway and transfer funds into the university's holding account before StudentiNord can approve your contract. More information about documenting sufficient funds here.
  • You may not use funds from the university's holding account to pay your housing deposit. This must be transferred to StudentiNord separately.
  • You will need to secure your housing contract before completing your application for a study permit. More information about study permits here.
