In this course, students will look beyond the subject of a frame and into the environment that surrounds them. A variety of skills will be developed through the process of conceptualising, planning and building an environment. Consideration will be given to hard surface and organic modeling techniques, creating and blending textures and materials, environmental lighting and volumetric effects, camera techniques, rendering and presentation. While students will be encouraged to develop their own environmental assets, the use of asset libraries and environment building tools will also be an important part of the course.
