Through reflection, students will develop their ability to solve problems, identify learning opportunities, take ownership of their own development and become lifelong learners.
Using reflection as a cyclical process, students will analyse and evaluate experience towards improvement of future practice. By formalising reflection using structured models and frameworks, students will become more critically aware of their own professional knowledge and actions. The process of continuous reflection encourages students to work with others, sharing best practice and drawing on others for support. Through reflection, students will develop their ability to solve problems, identify learning opportunities, take ownership of their own development and become lifelong learners.
On successful completion of the course, students should be able to:

- Explain the relevance and use of the stages within a reflective model

- Use a structured model to reflect on experience
- Use reflection on experience to action plan for future practice
