Strategy and Marketing
ORG1006
The course provides an introduction to strategic planning and processes in a business. The course presents a management perspective on strategy formulation, implementation and evaluation, using various analytical tools. The course problematizes dynamic environments, and how a company can maintain a competitive advantage through strategic market positioning. Particular emphasis is placed on digitization as a driver and tool for change, development, work processes and customer relations. The course also provides an introduction to the development of business models to achieve an overall strategic direction of the business and to create good performance.
No costs except semester registration fee and course literature. It is required that students possess their own laptop.
Compulsory course for students at Bachelor Programme in Human Resource Management. Elective for other students.
Use of various teaching methods, such as flipped classroom, lectures, video learning, teamwork and workshops. There is a high level of student activity. Teaching in classroom uses for review of theory, discussion of assignments and any questions related to these. Selected case assignments discusses central issues in the subject. Further information regarding progress and work method is given at the start of the course.

The programme of study is evaluated annually by the students through course surveys (mid-term evaluation and final evaluation). The evaluations are part of the university's quality assurance system.
