Is it expectet that the student:
Knowledge
- Can demonstrate and communicate knowledge of the most common diseases (in the current ward), symptoms, pharmacology/medications, examination and treatment in a clinical pathway
- Can demonstrate understanding and insight into the nurse's area of responsibility and function in the specialist health service
Skills
- Can apply professional knowledge of illness and health to systematically observe, assess, implement, evaluate and document appropriate nursing interventions
- Can make reports and participate in doctor's ward round
- Can demonstrate skills in the practice of pre-, per- and post-operative nursing when applicable
- Can quality assure and perform medication management in a professionally responsible manner
- Can carry out the most common procedures in the current ward, master infection control routines, handle medical equipment, technology and digital solutions in a professionally responsible manner
- Can use professional communication in meetings with patients, relatives, employees and other partners
General competence
- Is able to identify and reflect on ethical and legal challenges in nursing practice
- Is able to reflect on his/her own nursing identity, and shows willingness and commitment to develop and adjust his/her own nursing competence under supervision.
- Can demonstrate responsibility, commitment and follow professional ethical guidelines when in meetings with patients, relatives and co-workers
