Adaptive Learning (Master)

This master¿s programme in Adaptive Learning with specialization in pedagogics or didactics, Norwegian, mathematics, RLE, occupational didactics or special-needs education is an academic master¿s level programme comprising 120 ECTS credits over two or three years. The programme is organized as a group and web-based programme for full or part-time study. It requires candidates to collaborate actively with other programme participants, subject teachers and group work. Each candidate agrees on his or her individual study plan at the beginning of the course. Upon successful completion of the programme, candidates are awarded a master¿s degree in adaptive learning with specialization in one of the mentioned fields. The programme is theory, action and method oriented and has a clear academic and research foundation. Casework on this course is related to a variety of groups of children, youth and adults in education where special education is of vital importance. A minimum of 80 percent participation in classes (meetings/sessions) is required.

Admission requires holding a teacher, special subject-teacher or pre-school teacher education on bachelor's level or the equivalent. If the teacher education programme comprises four years of full-time study, the student may be accepted to this master's programme upon completion of their third year of study. The grade average must be C or better.

Other foundations for admission may be relevant and will be considered on an individual basis.

For the specializations (mastermodules) the entry requirements are as follows:

General Didactics: Teacher training and/including 60 ECTS of pedagogics with a grade of C or higher.

Norwegian Didactics:Teacher training and/including 60 ECTS credits in Norwegian with a grade of C or higher.

Mathematics DIdactics: Teacher training and/incliding 60 ECTS credits in Mathematics with a grade of C or higher.

Occupational Didactics: A completed 3-year occupational or professional training (bachelor, cand.mag.,or the equivalent).At least 80 pedagogical study-points (60 ECTS credits+ 20 ECTS credits for a pedagogically-related subject), undertaken during the above or as an addition, with a grade of C or higher.

Inclusive Education: Teacher training and/including 60 ECTS credits in special needs pedagogics with a grade of C or higher.
