Upon successful completion of the programme the student should:
Knowledge
Understand the principles and theories of using various scientific methods to address biological and ethical questions;
Understand the principles of aquaculture and its relation with the marine environment;
Have a broad knowledge of the developments in aquaculture.
Skills
Perform a critical evaluation of published scientific information;
Be able to carry out various types of basic biology techniques related to aquaculture;
Be able to use in-depth knowledge of aquaculture.
General competence
Present and disseminate scientific results to other scientists and the public.
This semester package is offered to exchange students from our partner universities and single course applicants. The applicant must be a full-time student on a master's programme within biology or related fields.
Exchange students are admitted on the basis of nomination by their home institution. The student must first apply to their home university to participate. The home institution will provide the student with information about the admission requirements.

The students are expected to pay for the syllabus literature and to possess a laptop with microphone and camera. Cost for some elective courses may apply, max. NOK 2000,-.
Exchange students are exempt from paying semester and tuition fees.
