Engage invites you to a workshop on "Design Thinking" and creative problem solving. The workshop is suitable for educators and PhD students interested in project focused teaching and Design Thinking, from all faculties.

This will be a great opportunity to learn how to teach in order to generate new ideas through Design Thinking. Participants will get to test the learning method Design Thinking as a tool in teaching. Design thinking in business uses the designer's sensibility and methods to match people's needs with what is technologically feasible and what a viable business strategy can convert into customer value and market opportunity.

In this seminar Engage is proud to present Martin Steinert, professor of Engineering Design and Innovation (Dep. of Engineering Design and Materials) at NTNU, and former Deputy Director of Center for Design Research at Stanford University. Martin is also head of TrollLabs one of the partners in Engage.

He teaches fuzzy front-end engineering for radical new product/service/system concepts and graduate research seminars for PhDs engaged in topics related to new product design and development. His various research projects are usually multidisciplinary (ME/CS/EE/Neuro- and Cognitive Sc.) and often connected with industry.
