I hold a Ph.D. in analytical chemistry with a solid background in research and academic teaching. I have also been active in real-life applications of analytical chemistry as used in the regulatory QC laboratory.

I have hands-on experience with a variety of analytical instruments (HPLC, ICP-MS, LC-MS-MS, FAAS, fluorimeter, luminometer, and UV-vis spectrophotometer). Moreover, I am adept in data analysis and programming using MATLAB with good background in linear algebra, statistics, and chemometrics.

I have experience in teaching a wide range of courses from general chemistry and analytical chemistry (classical, electrochemical, and instrumental methods of analysis) to organic and environmental chemistry.

Now I am the coordinator of Basic Chemistry courses (KJ100F, KJ103F, and KJ104F) at FBA (Nord University, Bodø). I have also been responsible for the practical part of organic chemistry courses.

I am interested in spectroscopic methods of analysis. However, my recent interest is mainly focused on multivariate data analysis and mass spectrometry, especially MS hyphenated with chromatographic systems. I am deeply passionate about the chemical analysis of complex samples found in nature (i.e. environmental analysis), foodstuffs, and biological systems.
