Background and research interest
I have a Master degree with specialization in fish pathology and biotechnology from College of Fisheries, Mangalore (India), where I worked on developing a monoclonal antibody based flow through assay for detection of Vibrio spp.
My craving to learn more brought me to Norway in 2014, where I obtained another master degree in Aquaculture with a focus on skin mucosal immunity of fish, at Nord University, Norway.
In 2015, I started my PhD degree at Nord University. My thesis was focused on " Characterization of immune and stress factors in skin of lumpfish, Cyclopterus lumpus" . I successfully defended my doctoral thesis on 19th April 2018.
Currently, I am working at Nord University as a researcher at the Faculty of Biosciences and Aquaculture.
My research interests are fish health and welfare, mucosal immunity of fish, teleost innate immunity, stress physiology, immunology, comparative proteomics and transcriptomics.
