On successful completion of this course the student will have an understanding of animation and lighting fundamental concepts, of creating animations for games, the professional digital tools and a professional work flow. The students shall be able to create animations formatted for games and successfully import and implement animations into the game engine. The students will have knowledge of traditional light techniques and demonstrate them with in the game engine.

  • Knows the basics of human perception
  • Understands the classical animation principles
  • Understands classical lighting techniques
  • Understands digital surfacing techniques

  • Can create animation with digital tools

Lectures and project work

Classes will be conducted on-campus or online, or a combination of both.

Evaluation using mid-term and final surveys. Students are also encouraged to participate in the central quality surveys.
