I am a sociologist and associate professor at the Faculty of Social Sciences. I have a PhD from Tohoku University and an MA from Waseda University, in Japan. Before working at Nord I worked in Sweden at Umeå University.

I teach research methods at the graduate level (Forskningsmetode og design del 1 og 2).

I specialize on ethnic, racial and socioeconomic segregation in Sweden with a focus on workplaces, neighborhoods and housing. I have also conducted comparative studies including other countries such as the US and Japan. I also have an interest in developing and testing quantitative research methods.
