Division for Kindergarten Teacher Education
Kindergarten Teacher Education has the superior responsibility for activities linked to the programme Bachelor Kindergarten Teacher Education, and furthermore master level education programmes for kindergarten teachers and employees in kindergartens. We also offer kindergarten-based skills development measures.
Scientific staff in the division Kindergarten Teacher Education participate in an overall academic and research community, where teacher's education as a profession constitutes the research field, and in smaller research fellowships research on kindergarten teacher education, and kindergartens is the main focus. Likewise, the research group handles research on diversity, such as Lule- and Southern Sami culture and tradition within the kindergarten field.
The division Kindergarten Teacher Education shall facilitate binding cooperation between the educational institution and the field of practice.
The professional group has about 50 employees in the job categories professor, associate professor, assistant professor and doctoral research fellow. Altogether, about 550 students are connected to the various educational offerings.

The research group Quality in Early Childhood Education and Care, and Kindergarten Teacher Education (KIBB) is a multi-methodical, interdisciplinary research group, with an overall aim to work towards increasing quality in both Early Childhood Education and Cares (ECEC) as well as in the Kindergarten Teacher Education.
