Online or group session-based study programmes

Get literature sent home

Students attending online or group session-based study programmes, and are not living near the university library, can order and have literature sent home. Using this service, the student must arrange for the return of the books themselves. This can be done either by asking a local public library to send the material for you, or by sending the material using regular mail delivery services. The cost of postage must be paid by the student.

To order material, follow these steps

  • When you've found the material you want to order, click on the blue button called “REQUEST"
  • Choose “Home Address" as your pickup location
  • Make sure your address registered in StudentWeb is correct.

NB: The university library does not send books to addresses outside of Norway. If you're in need of a singel chapter, these can be scanned and sent to you by mail. You can ask for this service by using the comment section when ordering books in Oria. The number of pages available for copy is governed by the Kopinor agreement.

Pick up literature when you're attending a group session

Students attending group session-based study programmes can order books and arrange for them to be collected while attending the session on campus. Using this service, the student must collect the material within five working days after the book has been placed on the hold shelf.

NB: This service only applies to students with long travel distances to the campus. Make the order at least two days before arriving the library, to make sure the staff has time to process it.

To order material, follow these steps:

  • When you've found the material you want to order, click on the “REQUEST" button
  • As the pickup location, choose the library on the campus you're attending the group session
  • Add a comment saying you'll pick up the material when you're attending the group session
