California State University San Marcos (CSUSM) is a public university in San Marcos, California. It was founded in 1989 as the 21st campus in the 23-campus California State University (CSU) system. CSUSM enrollment is over 16 000. The University is just a short distance from some of Southern California’s best beaches and an hour from the U.S.-Mexico border.

  • Admission requirements

    Students must have completed one year of university level studies, equivalent to 60 ECTS. Rolling Admissions with priority deadlines.

    Note that academic programs may have additional program admission requirements and course prerequisites. 2.0 Cumulative GPA is recommended.

    Language requirements

    Students must satisfy English language proficiency with one of the following:

    TOEFL score of 61 (minimum score of 19 in writing, and 14 on all other sections)

    IELTS score of 5.5 (with a 5.5 in writing, and 5.0 on all other sections)
