Seinan Gakuin University

Seinan Gakuin University (SGU) is a private Christian university in Fukuoka, Japan. The university focuses on Humanities and Social Sciences. SGU was one of the first Japanese universities to establish international exchange programmes with overseas universities, and today the university welcomes around 150 exchange students every year.

    A full workload is considered 14 credits per semester. 15 credits are equivalent to 30 ECTS.

    Language requirements

    Students whose native language is not English must generally demonstrate their proficiency by achieving a score in a English language test.

    It is recommended to have TOEFL-PBT 550, TOEFL-iBT 79-80, IELTS 6.0, or equivalent

    Students may expect to purchase insurance for the duration of their stay. It is usually required that students who stay in Japan for more than 3 months will enter the Japanese National Health Insurance system.
