Patophysiology II

DYR2001
The course covers the most common diseases in dogs, cats, rabbits and ferrets.

For students admitted to the Bachelor in Veterinary Nursing at Nord only.

The following subjects must be passed before enrollment:

  • DYR1002
  • DYR1003

For students admitted to the Bachelor in Veterinary Nursing at Nord only. 

DYR 1002 passed before entering.

Knowledge

  • have broad and basic knowledge of the most common diseases, injuries and disorders in dogs, cats, rabbits and ferrets
  • have knowledge about research and development work in the field
  • can update his/her knowledge in the field of pathology

 Skills

  • master relevant terminology
  • can apply academic knowledge about pathology to both theoretical and practical problems and make professionally reasoned choices

 General Competencies

  • have insight to and can reflect on ethical consequences, challenges and animal welfare in the medical treatment of animals
  • can exchange opinions with others about animal health
  • are able to find, evaluate and communicate academic material and problems both orally and in writing
No tuition fees. Costs for semester registration and course literature apply. The university require that students have a laptop.
Compulsory for Bachelor in Veterinary Nursing. 

The teaching activities in the course require the student to be on campus.

  • Seminars: mandatory attendance
Evaluation using mid-term and final surveys. Students are also encouraged to participate in the central quality surveys.
