Introduction to entrepreneurship and business idea development is a practically oriented course focusing on developing new business ideas and concepts through creative processes.

Upon completed course the student will have the following learning outcome:

Knowledge - The students

  • Have knowledge about the starting new businesses and the possible usefulness of business planning
  • Know how new businesses can form and focus business ideas in relation to the market
  • Have knowledge about how to design a business concept
  • Have insights concerning relevant issues in relation to starting a new business

Skills - The students can

  • Identify and form own business ideas through actively participating in creative processes
  • Assess strengths and weaknesses with regard to own business ideas

General competence - The students can

  • Present and describe in writing and orally business ideas
  • Plan and carry out relevant tasks relating to the development of business ideas
  • Discuss views and experiences with others with respect to different types of business ideas
Paid semester fee and syllabus literature. It is also required that students have a laptop at their disposal.
Elective course
Lectures, seminars, workshops.
The study programme is evaluated annually by students by way of course evaluation studies. These evaluations are included in the university's quality assurance system.
