Principal Instrument, Part 1
KNOWLEDGE
The student shall acquire basic knowledge of
- form and basic expressive principles in their own performance
- different genres associated with their own instrument
- various methods of notation, playing by ear and improvisation
- didactic and methodological elements related to teaching the instrument
- using the instrument in projects involving other subjects and art forms
- using the instrument in a studio and stage context
- work-related physiological principles relating to the development of technical skills and the prevention of strain injuries
SKILLS
The student
- can demonstrate good command of an instrument so that it can be used creatively in teaching and performing activities
- can demonstrate basic musical self-sufficiency on an instrument through interaction
- can adapt learning material and working methods to the pupil’s ability and interest
GENERAL COMPETENCE
The student
- has acquired basic knowledge of working creatively and creatively with the instrument
- has acquired basic methodological knowledge and competence in teaching and performing on the instrument
- can demonstrate their ability to reflect on their own role as a performer and educator
Mandatory participation (OD) in lessons, minimum 80%, and in agreed student-led activity. Mandatory participation must be approved in order to take the exam.
Coursework requirements (AK): One practical/written coursework requirement per semester total of 2 AK first academic year), must be approved to get a final grade in the subject.
Exam, time: 2nd semester:
Didactic assignment (OP):
- Individual written submission.
- Grade: Pass/fail
Description:
The student shall deliver a written didactic reflection assignment that is based on their own main instrument practice.
The assignment may be about any issues or didactic situations that are based on their own work with their main instrument. The submission may also include audio/video documentation
