Students get an introduction to the working life of veterinary nurses, and the routines in a veterinary clinic.
For students admitted to the Bachelor in Veterinary Nursing at Nord only.
Students must have passed DYR1001 and the portfolio in DYR1003.
Knowledge
The candidate
- Has general knowledge of infection control (aseptics, antiseptics and disinfection), and the practical application.
Skills
The candidate
- Can consider the safety of patients and persons.
- Is able to clean and disinfect spaces and equipment.
- Can perform proper hand hygiene.
General Competencies
The candidate
- Can establish and maintain a good relationship with other employees.
- Is able to work on given procedures and instructions.
No tuition fees. Costs for semester registration and course literature apply. The university require that students have a laptop.
Compulsory for Bachelor in Veterinary Nursing.
Evaluation using mid-term and final surveys. Students are also encouraged to participate in the central quality surveys.
